Ameliah Maje is one of the most influential singers of her time. From the outskirts of Timmins, Ontario, Maje rose to the world stage. Ameliah became famous overnight through Tik Tok and has become our starlet. We had the privilege of interviewing her, and the completely unfiltered interview transcript is attached below.
Thank you for interviewing with InkSpire today. I really appreciate it.
(Clicks tongue) Okay…
You became an overnight sensation with your song “My World”, can you please tell me what your inspiration was for that song?
I truly believe the world is mine. Like if I had the chance, I would be president of the world.
I see…perhaps we could dive into your motivation and inspiration? Who or what is your biggest motivator in life?
(Clicks tongue) Money and myself.
That’s quite a shallow answer (chuckles). Maybe when you’re on stage you sing a song dedicated to someone special.
This question intrigues me. One thing that motivates me on stage is picturing everyone that broke my heart. My biggest motivation is revenge. I tell myself that I’m the one on stage and I’m the international superstar. I won and my enemies lost. My inspiration is me. When I look in the mirror I think “wow God must really have favourites”
That’s quite the motivation (chuckles). A little bit of an ego there don’t you think?
You’re the one interviewing me…
That is correct. I guess the overnight fame made you feel more confident in yourself?
If you did your job and read the questions your boss assigned to you instead of coming at me. You’d probably get a raise or at least a good job sticker.
My apologies if it came out that way. I was trying to make banter. Well back on topic. Since you came out of Timmins where are you based now?
Los Angeles. It’s what is expected.
Where would you like to be based?
I like Toronto. I got a house in Bridle Path for my cat.
You have a mansion for your cat?
(Clicks tongue) Yeah. Why?
Don’t you feel that’s kind of excessive? Especially with the housing crisis?
Not really, I gave my money to some poor people when a hurricane hit. Plus, I have that “fuck you” money. So, suck it.
That’s just…wow. Oh my God. I guess what they say is true money does change a person.
No, I was always like this. I just have the means to do so. I could buy an exotic animal and make it do tricks for me and people would still listen to my music and let me get away with it. Do you know why?
Why?
Because deep down they know I’m better than them. I’ll give you an example. Right now, you’re interviewing me. You need me to give a scoop and my time so you can send this pathetic interview back to your editor. I have the power in this situation, and you know you need me. Plus if you had money like me, you wouldn’t stand for anything either.
Well, you did agree to do the interview. If you were so busy you would have cancelled.
I have an IQ of 150 at least. I’m way ahead of you on this. I agreed to this interview to look good in the public eye. I must help the less fortunate sometimes, plus I probably added some allure to your otherwise insignificant life.
You know I am going to post what you said, and the public opinion will change on you.
Nope! It won’t. All I must do is start crying and people will forgive me. It’s so easy being rich.
I think this interview should end. It was nice chatting with you. You’re quite the character.
Hold that thought. One thing, I know that you were recording this interview. I’ll make a deal, $500,000 is all yours if you destroy it right here.
You can’t be serious.
Let me just grab my check book. But you must promise that the cam recorder is destroyed.
Deal.
We all have our price. Too bad I’m not the Prime Minister with charm like mine. I’d run this planet straight to the ground…
